Pressure testing

Test benches / pressure testing

PLC and computer-controlled test benches for leak testing with client-specific operator-interfaces are the ideal solution for many tasks. This is particularly the case if:
  • The wide variety of types of test pieces requires different procedures or sets of parameters
  • A large number of different measurements such as pressure curves, times, mechanical and electrical values etc. are to be taken
  • Process checks and documentation are required

Example I

Computer-controlled leak testing for commercial vehicle brake parts. All adjustment and testing procedures are fully automated.

  • Sealing Tests
  • Flow Tests
  • Pressure and time tests
  • Control unit settings
  • Functional tests

Example II

  • Manual and automatic operation
  • Resolution of measurement 1 Pa
  • High pressure measurement technology for 200 bars
  • Marking of the tested “good” tubings
  • Forced ejection depending if passed or rejected Parts
  • Automatic acceptance of lines from production unit
  • Automatic operation of sealing instruments when line length changes
  • Lateral movement for removing from the production plant and passing to the test station

Example III

  • Manual feeding of test pieces from production
  • Automatic positioning in the testing and interrogation position
  • Identification of the correctly tested lines
  • Automatic removal of the correct parts to the rear on conveyor to labelling station
  • Automatic processing of sealing mechanism in the event of variation to the tube lengths.
  • Automatic operation of sealing instruments when line length changes
  • Forced ejection depending if parts passed or rejected.

Example VI

Universal double fully automatic leak testing system for window regulator motors with profibus control and ASI modules, with automatic type identification and adjustment of the sealing connections to the type of test piece.. Control via a Siemens S7 / 313 DP with OP 7.
  • Automated feeding of test pieces from production plant
  • Automated adjustment of the sealing units to the type of test piece
  • WT coding via writing/reading unit
  • WT coding via read/write units
  • Manual/automatic mode
  • Process evaluation

Example VII

Fully automated threefold leak testing for longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes of different diameters (from 20 to 200 mm) and lengths (from 20 to 100 mm). They are fed via a roller conveyor and separator. Double handling system for simultaneous loading and unloading of the test stations. The leak test is performed by an LTC 602 R and LTC 602 R Twin. Automatic ejection of those parts rejected. Small and compact.

  • Extremely short test times
  • Automated adjustment of the sealing units to the type of test piece
  • Automated removal of correct and incorrect parts
  • Manual/automatic mode
  • Process evaluation via LTC 602 R and R Twin

Example VIII

Leak testing for different plastic pipes with a swivelling unit for loading and unloading the test pieces during the testing period. The parts are checked for clearance at the same time and marked with a test date. Coded stickers identify the type of test piece and automatically pre-select the test programme. The test bench is able to accept short and long test pieces.

  • Manual placement of test pieces
  • Automated adjustment of the sealing units to the type of test piece
  • Automated removal of correct and incorrect parts
  • Manual/automatic mode
  • Test parameters saved to memory

Example IX

Semi-automated fourfold leak testing for longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes of different diameters (from 20 to 200 mm) and lengths (from 20 to 100 mm). They are fed via a roller conveyor and separator. Double handling system for simultaneous loading and unloading of the test stations. The leak test is performed by two LTC 602 R Twins. Automatic ejection of those parts rejected.

  • Extremely short testing times
  • Automatic feed of test pieces via magazine belt.
  • Automatic removal of correct parts via magazine belt
  • Process data storage via LTC 602 R Twin

Example X
